James Cruz
Lead Adviser
I have been a financial planner since 1996 and have nearly 30 years experience in the financial services industry. I have worked for two major banks and a regional accounting firm where I assisted clients with diverse and unique needs.
In October 2003, I finally completed my Diploma of Financial Planning through Deakin University.
In April 2005, with support from my wife Karen, our family decided it was time to establish our own business and to look after clients the way we thought best.
The focus purely on financial planning was a strategic decision to provide a consultative approach to clients with complex yet common problems.
I am a Certified Financial Planner and a member of the Financial Planning Association, the peak governing body for Financial Planning professionals.
When I am not seeking the best outcomes for our clients, you can find me at Ballina Rugby Union Seahorse Stadium on a Wednesday evening throwing a couple of dummies and shooting through the line and scoring tries. (Please don’t fact check this.) There is nothing better than an old time “show and go” that still beats an old timer.
With the purchase of my 29 inch Pedal e-bike I am looking to cruise the coastline and the rail trails of the Northern Rivers.
A food aficionado in the making, I have a great appreciation for the magic of great cooking and enjoy sharing many tastes . My favourite restaurants are: Ahmet’s Turkish Restaurant at Southbank, Brisbane, The Astor Grill in Hobart and Asado Argentinian Steak Restaurant in Melbourne.
I am continually motivated by guiding professionals and business owners to attaining a retirement of dignity and independence. Financial freedom, whereby they never need worry about money ever again.
